Cocoluck crafts fashion accessories using traditional Japanese Kimono fabric called Chirimen—known for its rich texture, vibrant patterns, and long-lasting quality.

Founded in 2002 by textile expert Masatoshi Sahashi, we partner with over 30 Japanese makers to produce 400+ unique items, including our signature hair accessories in over 30 colors, available in 300+ stores across Japan.

80% of our products are made in Japan, using water-resistant, durable materials. Every piece is unique—perfect as a gift or personal keepsake.

Our Original Fabrics

The fabrics used in Cocoluck products are primarily made from 100% polyester Chirimen, a material known for its elegant texture and luxurious appearance. Unlike traditional silk-based Chirimen, our polyester version is water-resistant, washable, and will not shrink or fade — making it perfect for everyday use.

Hair Accessories

One of Cocoluck’s best-selling lines features Chirimen fabric sealed hair accessories. We use original polyester Chirimen, carefully selected for its perfect compatibility with acrylic. The result is a vivid, high-end finish with no color bleeding or fabric distortion — even the reverse side looks beautiful.

We design and produce a wide variety of styles, including hair clips, barrette clips, hairpins, and Kanzashi. Fabric patterns are chosen to match the size and shape of each accessory, ensuring the charm of traditional Japanese designs shines through.

What is CHIRIMEN?

Chirimen is a traditional Japanese textile made from polyester, rayon, or silk, known for its distinctive crinkled surface. This elegant texture is created by tightly twisting the threads during the weaving process, giving the fabric a rich, tactile feel.

Originally used for kimono, Chirimen is now loved for its beauty, durability, and versatility in modern fashion and accessories.
